Ms. Gomez was born and raised in Elgin, IL. While she was growing up, she would constantly babysit her nieces and nephews. That took a big part in her learning how to take care of children. She noticed her passion for working with children grew in High School when she took three years of Childhood Education courses. She is now happily married and has two boys, a three year and two-year-old named Xavier and Andrew. She loves spending her free time with them in which they do a lot of family activities, especially during the weekend.
She has been working in the childcare field since 2015. She is currently an assistant teacher at The Ivy Academy. She has the experience of working with all age groups but is now focused in the toddler classroom. She enjoys and loves working with children of all ages. She loves to see the children grow, and learn new things every day. Every time she sees a smile on their face, it makes her feel accomplished. They have found comfort in her, especially during those hard mornings. When they accomplish something, it gives her that since of pride that she is helping with their development. She loves to find new ideas to bring into class.
She graduated from Elgin High School in 2011. Currently, she is taking online in-services to keep educating herself. She plans on obtaining her CDA and continuing her education by enrolling in college.
