Julia Flores was born in Urireo, Guanajuato, Mexico. She was brought in to the United States at the young age of 3 years old. She was raise in Elgin and continues to be part of the community. She now lives with her husband and four adorable children. Two beautiful daughters, ages 8 yrs. and 6 yrs. old, and two adorable sons, ages 2 yrs. and a 6-month-old.
Although she went through a language barrier as a child, lived in an abusive home, carried the stigma of being a teenage parent, and having four children by the age of 25, she managed to graduate from Elgin High School and is now continuing her education at Elgin Community College. She wants to prove to her children that no matter what obstacles you may face, you can overcome them and succeed in life.
Mrs. Flores is currently a member of The Ivy Academy’s administration team. She is First Aid and CPR certified. Has over 100 in-service hours. Experienced with children, not only as a mother but as a volunteer at her children’s school and daycare events.
The grates gift for her, is to know that her children are in a learning and safe environment while she works, which is what The Ivy Academy provides. Even when her only relationship to The Ivy Academy was a parent/ customer, she enjoyed the atmosphere that the teachers provided for her children and was overjoyed when she got the opportunity to be part of the company. Three years now, she hopes to continue her employment and grow alongside the company. Her future plans are to own her own home within two years, continue with her education and achieve a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Accounting.
