Maria Valencia

Mrs. Valencia’s career in the Early Childhood Education industry began in early 2014; she started at the Elgin site of The Ivy Academy as a Teacher’s Assistant and earned her CDA (Child Development Associate) becoming a Lead Teacher, she then transitioned to the Geneva location, in 2022. Mrs. Valencia strongly believes in Piaget’s philosophy, of systematic processes of learning, bringing greater cognition through play and exploration.  Mrs. Valencia is  attending Rasmussen College to earn her Bachelor’s degree with hopes of completion  in the early spring of 2025.
